Before moving to Regency seven years ago, Treasurer Mike Chait served as mayor of Berkeley Heights for two terms and deputy mayor for three terms. In those capacities, he had the responsibilities of dealing with the day-to-day activities of the township, as well as negotiating contract renewals with the unions that represented the various arms of government. He also served on the planning board for two terms, with the second being vice-chairman. These past experiences in negotiation will help Regency in transitioning from Toll Brothers to a self-sustaining community.

Mike has been a financial advisor for 34 years, with the last nine at Wells Fargo Advisors. His involvement in finance not only helped him in his municipal endeavors, but has helped and will continue to help him as a board member of Regency.
